Hi, I’m Eva May and I'm stoked to have you On Tour with me!
I feel really awkward writing self-introductions - so let's just dive into some fun facts about me:
- I spent seven years of my childhood in Hong Kong before moving to Vienna and receiving the loving nickname 'Dim Sum' from my Austrian friends. I think it's awesome - not only is Dim Sum my go-to comfort food, but the name also humorously epitomizes my Asian roots (at least that’s what I tell myself).
- I’m passionate about telling stories through different creative mediums, sharing a laugh, and traveling the world. Currently, I call Beijing home.
- I love Hip Hop and R’n’B, it’s always been my favorite music genre. I’d like to pretend those days of singing into my hairbrush microphone in the mirror are over, but honestly - adulting is a soup and I’m a fork.
- I’m also into adrenaline activities, like bungee jumping and skydiving. My parents... not so much.
- Cockroaches are something I absolutely can’t stand - I had one flying onto my head once and it has scarred me for life.
- I would love to move to California for some time - I've been fantasizing about ticking off the sunshine state on my residence list one day.
- I believe in kindness, always. I don't understand how people could see it as weakness. After all, as one of my favorite authors, Beau Taplin, wrote: "(...) It takes courage to stay delicate in a world this cruel."
- I absolutely adore Ellen DeGeneres and her show (even though her reputation has morphed in the past year). The idea of doing a carpool with her on a three-wheeler through Beijing has always intrigued me.
- I am slightly obsessed with French bulldogs. Seriously, they are the cutest things on earth! If I ever have to choose between a dog or a piggy as a pet, I might as well go for the perfect 2-in-1 combo, right?! Just sayin.
